Pharmacy Manager

Are you a licensed pharmacist with strong leadership skills and a passion for clinical excellence? We're looking for a driven Pharmacy Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Calgary-based pharmacy, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and team engagement.
JOB SUMMARY
As Pharmacy Manager, you'll oversee pharmacy operations, support sterile compounding standards, and ensure the seamless coordination of a dedicated team. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will play a key role in optimizing workflow, upholding safety and quality protocols, and driving continuous improvement across the site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of pharmacists and support staff
- Oversee scheduling, training, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with provincial/federal regulations and internal SOPs
- Manage pharmacy inventory and sterile compounding operations
- Respond to client escalations and maintain excellent customer service
- Facilitate cross-department communication and collaboration
- Review and submit payroll, invoices, and reports
- Participate in audits, customer site visits, and regulatory inspections
- Maintain practice hours and perform pharmacist duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- BScPhm or PharmD and active license with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- 3+ years' pharmacy experience; management experience preferred
- Experience with sterile compounding and/or GMP environments is an asset
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities
- Strong organizational, customer service, and continuous improvement mindset
- Comfortable using pharmacy software and quality systems
