Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, driven, and resourceful professional to join our logistics team. The Global Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing documentation and coordinating all aspects of international ocean export shipments. This includes tracking shipment status, proactively resolving issues, and keeping customers well-informed throughout the process. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Plan, coordinate, track, and monitor global ocean export shipments from booking through final delivery.
Maintain ongoing communication with vendors, customers, carriers, cold storage facilities, and freight forwarders to ensure seamless transportation execution.
Resolve logistical issues, discrepancies, or delays proactively and efficiently.
Ensure all shipments adhere to Incoterms and contractual obligations.
Documentation & Compliance
Oversee and verify the timely and accurate preparation of all shipping documentation: invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, insurance, customs declarations, etc.
Ensure credit terms are met before product release; follow up on outstanding payments.
Compile claim documents and investigate discrepancies where needed.
Excellent, informative, and respectful communication via e-mail, telephone and chat platforms with vendors, customers, and transportation companies
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics, or a minimum of 2 years in international ocean export freight forwarding/logistics.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English required. Spanish or French an asset.
Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as a team player. Able to build and maintain a network of key relationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with logistics/ERP platforms preferred.
Deep understanding of Incoterms and global freight documentation.
Knowledge of international seaports and global trade routes is advantageous.
