About the Role
Urban Hearth is seeking a dynamic and strategic Operations Manager to lead and optimize our core functions. This role is tailored for a results-driven leader who thrives on improving processes and building strong teams. You'll oversee customer service operations, warehouse logistics, and office management, aligning these areas to propel Urban Hearth to its next level of success.
This role reports to the president of Coval and Urban Hearth.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will span across multiple critical business functions. Specifically, the role will require the following focus areas:
- Warehouse Management Manage and mentor the logistic team with day-to-day operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Implement process improvements to ensure smooth logistics and maximize warehouse efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Purchasing Support In collaboration with our purchaser:
- Collaborate with suppliers to maintain strong vendor relationships and secure favourable terms.
- Optimize procurement strategies to improve cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage supply levels to support business needs in a timely manner.
- Order Desk and Customer Service Support Manage and mentor the customer service team to guarantee exceptional post-sales and after-sales support.
- Establish efficient workflows to improve response time for customer inquiries and order fulfillment.
- Leverage customer feedback to enhance service quality and satisfaction.
- Human Resources and Office Management Foster a positive work culture by championing employee well-being and professional development.
- Maintain functional office operations, including budgeting, supplies, and facilities management.
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
Qualifications and Skills
We're looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and expertise to thrive in this role:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead diverse teams with a collaborative approach.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive thinker with a knack for identifying operational challenges and developing impactful solutions.
- Process Optimization: Proven experience in optimizing workflows and ensuring process integrity.
- HR Experience: Competence in human resource functions, including recruitment and team development.
- Financial Acumen: Strong grasp of managing budgets and aligning operational spending with company goals.
- Tech-Savviness: A "power user" of IT systems, with experience leveraging technology to streamline operations.
