Right Way Auto Repair, located at 1154 Rymal Rd E Unit , Hamilton, ON L8W 3N7, is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician with their own tools and their own vehicle to join our fantastic team!
Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Service Technician, you are expected to Complete diagnostics, repairs, and be the front face for our innovative service. If you have proven experience providing excellent customer service and are a certified technician we want to hear from you!
Specifically, you are expected to perform the following duties:
Diagnose, inspect, and repair approved services on customer vehicles in accordance with established methods and procedures
Repair or replace mechanical units or components
Advise customers and supervisor on all work performed after each service, vehicle conditions and recommendations
Perform Ministry of Transportation vehicle inspections as per Ministry guidelines
Always work in a clean and safe manner
Be friendly and very service-oriented
Qualifications, Requirements, and Core Competencies:
Certificate of 310S Automotive Service Technicians.
At least 15+ years of proven experience as an automotive technician
College, CEGEP or high school with requisite experience
Ownership of required tools
Ability to keep up to date with changing technology
Commitment to providing an amazing customer experience
Must have your own transportation
Must have a G class license not a probationary license
Good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written English) skills including exceptional active listening skills
Flexibility and adaptability in order to adjust to changing duties and deadlines
Ability to read and interpret routes and schedules
Proven record of working independently as well as cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team
Demonstrated initiative to assist in other areas when requested or required
Ability to maintain confidential information in a mature and professional manner
Extensive experience indecision making, and in particular, must possess experience in decisions related to diagnosing and determining mechanical issues (non-routine decisions are made in collaboration with Shop Owner Responsibility for Resources)
Must be directly responsible for all tools and shop equipment
Must ensure that vehicles meet Ministry of Transportation standards
Frequent to continuous mental concentration required in performing duties
Working Conditions
Medium supervision in and around the company service department and minimal supervision on the roadways
Work safely with dust, grease, oil, flammable, and toxic materials
Work location: same as business address
