SENIOR CONTENT DIRECTOR
Type: Full-Time. Tell the story of the New Nike.
Location: Brodie HQ - Burlington or Toronto, ON
Salary: $90,000-100,000 CAD
Reports to: Head of Content / CEO
Start Date: June 2nd
THE ROLE
We're hiring a Senior Content Director - the architect behind Brodie League's entire social presence across all 50+ league nights. Grow our digital audience, lead our content ecosystem, and tell stories that make Brodie the most followed league in the world. This isn't a coordinator role.
You will own content from concept to post - leading strategy, production, and publishing across 20+ Brodie Location instagram accounts.
You will build and manage a team to execute this at the highest level, every single week.
You will scale a content machine that fuels Brodie's brand, growth, and community movement.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
All Regional Social Content
- Lead the entire content lifecycle - from ideation and filming to editing, approvals, and posting.
- Ensure every video, graphic, and caption meets Brodie's brand standard and storytelling goals.
- Set and maintain a consistent posting cadence across platforms.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Hire, train, and manage a team of full-time and part-time creatives (videographers, photographers, admin staff).
- Maintain a tight production calendar and clear workflows to deliver on-time, high-impact content.
- Ensure all team members are aligned on Brodie's content voice, quality bar, and creative direction.
- Oversee daily execution to ensure every piece of content is posted on time and at the Brodie standard.
Multi-Account Oversight
- Own 20+ Brodie Instagram location pages - including their growth, strategy, and community voice.
- Manage a team responsible for keeping each IG page's bio, pinned stories and weekly league communications are up to date.
- Ensure every location is active, engaging, and aligned with the central brand strategy.
Develop and Execute Strategy
- Build and evolve our social playbook to drive follower growth, engagement, and brand awareness.
- Identify high-performing content types, double down on winners, and sunset what's not working.
- Keep content fresh by experimenting with new formats, series, and creative angles.
Innovate Content Themes
- Build out Brodie's CLE content (Community, Lifestyle, Experience).
- Capture the soul of the league through behind-the-scenes moments, player journeys, culture drops, and cinematic highlights.
- Position Brodie as a lifestyle brand that welcomes hoopers of all levels - and builds community beyond the court.
Community Engagement
- Ensure our content creates conversation - not just views.
- Interact with players and fans across social (DMs, replies, polls, reposts).
- Spotlight user-generated content and player testimonials that fuel a two-way relationship.
Platform Trends & Growth
- Stay on top of memes, trending formats, and platform changes - and jump on them when they align with Brodie's voice.
- Continually optimize content for each platform's algorithm and audience.
Analytics & Optimization
- Monitor key metrics: growth, reach, engagement, watch time, and more. Create a dashboard to monitor and gauge performance across profiles and platforms.
- Run tests, study performance, and refine your strategy based on real data.
- Share regular reports and insights with the leadership team.
Tools & Innovation
- Leverage emerging tools and AI to scale production, editing, scheduling, and analytics.
- Stay on the cutting edge of creative tech to keep Brodie moving fast and leading the pack.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years leading social content strategy and creative teams
- Proven success growing multi-account brands on Instagram, TikTok, and more
- Strong leadership skills - with a track record of managing teams and hitting deadlines
- Mastery of content workflows: production schedules, posting systems, review cycles
- Deep knowledge of youth culture, online trends, and storytelling
- Experience managing brand presence across multiple locations or franchises is a major plus
- Fast, creative, detail-oriented, and relentless about execution
- Passion for basketball, brand-building, and big ambition
