Job Summary

The Architecture Governance Analyst plays a key role in ensuring that architectural practices align with organizational policies, standards, and governance frameworks. This position supports the coordination and execution of governance activities, including architecture reviews and maturity assessments, while fostering collaboration across teams. The analyst also helps monitor compliance, documents decisions, and drives process improvements in support of enterprise architecture goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Support Governance Activities
  • Assist in planning and coordinating governance meetings, including agenda preparation, scheduling, and follow-up actions
  • Participate in governance forums to support effective stakeholder discussions and communication
  • Contribute to architecture reviews by documenting findings and supporting recommendations for improvement
  • 2. Ensure Alignment with Policies and Standards
  • Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to align practices with organizational policies and architecture standards
  • Provide tools, templates, and guidance to support compliance with governance requirements
  • Promote consistency and adherence to governance objectives across teams
  • 3. Assist with Maturity Assessments
  • Support the execution of architectural maturity assessments to identify capability gaps and improvement areas
  • Analyze results and contribute to the development and implementation of improvement plans
  • Track progress and support the adoption of recommended changes
  • 4. Documentation and Communication
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of governance meetings, decisions, templates, and reports
  • Prepare and publish clear, consistent communication updates for stakeholders on governance activities and outcomes
  • Ensure documentation is accessible and up-to-date
  • 5. Monitor Progress and Compliance
  • Track adherence to governance processes, standards, and policies
  • Report non-compliance risks and work with stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Maintain and report on architectural metrics that reflect governance maturity and performance
  • 6. Contribute to Continuous Improvement
  • Collect stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities to refine governance processes
  • Research best practices and industry trends to support innovation and improvement in architectural governance

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in governance, enterprise architecture support, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, processes, and documentation standards
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with tools such as SharePoint, Jive, or Confluence
  • Basic understanding of enterprise architecture principles (e.g., TOGAF)
  • Experience supporting compliance tracking and risk reporting activities
  • Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Certifications (if any)

  • TOGAF or related enterprise architecture certification (preferred but not required)
