Job Title: Network Engineer
Nature of Contract: Hybrid (Day 1 onboarding onsite / in office presence 3x week)

Job Description:
- The broad knowledge of all major topics is critical.
- The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience preferably with a Financial Services Firm, Technology vendor or systems integrator designing, and implementing large scale networks.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member is essential. Strong presentation skills are imperative to be able explain network design, articulate risk, and facilitate decision making.
- Strong security focus and experience with Network Security Concepts and Multi-tier Security architectures.
- Able to lead the segregation efforts between production and non-production networks. In this role, a person will be responsible for understanding the design standards, implementing and maintaining the network infrastructure to ensure a secure and efficient separation between prod and non-prod environments.
Expert Level Technical Skills Required
- Ethernet technologies: STP, 802.1x, VPC, Multilayer Switching; Leaf-Spine IP Fabric
- IP Routing: RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPBGP, TCP/IP
- Multicast routing: PIM, IGMP, MSDP
- VxLAN
- Platform knowledge on Cisco Switching & Routing Platformso Nexus 9000 Series Data Centre Switching Platform
- Platform Knowledge on Arista Switching platforms
- Working knowledge on various Network OSo Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NXOS, IOS-XRo Arista EOS
- Ability to understand the network segmentation between Prod, non-prod
- Develop a comprehensive network implementation plan while meeting the business and technology requirements and security standards.
- Administration of network hardware, virtualization, and routing across multiple environments.
- Familiarity with JIRA for project and task management, specifically work in Agile-Kanban.
- Open to work on Saturdays once a month
Skills Desired:
- Ability to use Microsoft applications such as Visio, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proficient in UNIX or Linux
- Certifications: CCIE or equivalent along with CISSP highly desirable
- Experience with scripting / automation using Python / Ansible is a strong plus. Must be a person who can independently identify and independently build automation of any repetitive work.
- Tools: Wireshark, Infoblox, HPNA, Splunk, Sevone, Ansible is a plus
- Working knowledge on SDN, SDWAN, DMVPN
- Sound knowledge in public cloud, Kubernetes, storage over IP and VMWare
- Strong sense of security concept include defense in depth, zero trust networking, least privilege principle, risks and controls.
- Experience of driving enterprise level initiatives working with senior stakeholders across Regions and Cultures
