Job Summary
The Sales and Operations Manager is a cross-functional leadership role responsible for driving strategic planning, execution, and operational excellence across all DTC (and Marketplaces) and B2B sales channels. This position merges analytics, sales planning, and operational execution to ensure seamless product lifecycle management, sales forecasting, inventory optimization, web merchandising and budget adherence. The Manager will act as the key liaison between sales, operations, product, marketing, finance, marketplace sales team and web teams to align activities with company goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy, Business Planning & Forecasting:
- Develop short-term and long-term sales strategies for each line of business.
- Lead the weekly sales forecast process and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
- Drive development and execution of monthly and annual sales targets for all sales channels.
- Analyze market trends, sales performance, competitions, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and risks.
Pricing, Promotion & Product GTM Execution:
- Oversee SKU merchandising, pricing and promotion management, including product launch (GTM) and EOL strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for successful new product launches and transitions across all platforms.
- Monitor product listings and web merchandising to optimize visibility and conversion.
Inventory & Operations Management:
- Manage inventory health across DTC, B2B, and marketplaces; develop and implement overall and aging inventory sales strategies.
- Coordinate PO planning, inventory transfers, and fraud/chargeback monitoring.
- Develop data-backed inventory strategies in collaboration with demand planning and SCM teams.
Data Analysis, Business Insight & Reporting:
- Own sales-related dashboards, KPIs, and P&L reporting for senior leadership.
- Develop and collect all DtC KPIs and provide data-driven insights to the team and stakeholders on key learnings on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly and ad-hoc basis.
- Deliver actionable insights from sales, operations, pricing, customer service, and web performance data.
- Create and manage reports, budget tracking, and expense oversight.
Cross-Functional Leadership, Vendor Management & Projects:
- Act as the operations lead for special projects and cross-functional initiatives in DTC business.
- Lead external vendor engagements and negotiations.
- Lead cost reduction and efficiency including chargeback reduction and vendor cost management initiatives.
- Maintain oversight on vendor setup, MDF usage, and expense tracking.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years in sales, sales operations, business insight, or business planning roles -preferably in the consumer electronics or eCommerce industry.
- Experience in security camera industry is an asset.
Skills & Tools:
- Advanced Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI, and SAP; experience with Tableau, SQL, and Amazon Seller Central is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Experience with sales reporting, data visualization, financial tracking, and operational project management.
- Solid understanding of consumer electronics industry and DtC/eCommerce business structure
