The Opportunity:
Permasearch is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Director of Client Services to spearhead our business growth and expand our market presence. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with a strong sales drive and an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be instrumental in identifying and securing new client partnerships, while also nurturing and leveraging our existing relationships to drive significant revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development (Primary Focus):
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to acquire new clients across our specialized industries (Finance & Accounting, Engineering, Skilled Trades, Office Professionals).
- Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, cold outreach, industry events, and referrals.
- Conduct compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients, effectively articulating Permasearch's value proposition and tailored solutions.
- Negotiate and close new client agreements, meeting and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts regularly.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for expanded services and repeat business.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their talent acquisition needs and providing strategic insights.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through effective communication and consistent delivery of Permasearch's services.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work collaboratively with the existing Permasearch recruitment team to ensure seamless client delivery and candidate placement.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on client engagement strategies and business development initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive and high-performance team culture.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales and business development, ideally within the professional services or recruitment industry.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Strong sales acumen with excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starter approach and a drive to build and grow a business.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and establish strong, lasting relationships.
- Experience leveraging existing relationships while also demonstrating the ability to consistently bring in new clients and new business.
- Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
