Procurement Specialist - Public Sector (12 Month Contract)

Rate: Up to $48 per hour

Location: West GTA

Contract Length: 12 months (excellent possibility of permanent conversion)

We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a well-established public sector team. In this role, you will take charge of procurement activities across various divisions, ensuring compliance with public regulations, while focusing on procurement strategies and special projects.

This opportunity offers a great chance to work closely with internal stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and lead negotiations in a dynamic environment. You will play a critical role in overseeing complex procurement processes, including construction and other specialized projects.

Key Requirements:

- Public Sector Procurement experience is extremely helpful

- At least 4 years of progressive procurement experience, including strategic sourcing, vendor selection and stakeholder management/engagement

- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Relevant certifications like CSCMP, NIGP, or CPPB/CPPO are highly desirable.

This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, working on high-priority procurement tasks and navigating complex projects. You will have the opportunity to work within a hybrid model, with the flexibility to attend the office 2-3 days per week.
