The Procurement Manager (Packaging) is a leader of expertise with value adding procurement experience in food packaging to join a growing team. Requirements
- Lead procurement efforts focused on food packaging, including plastics, paper, films, and sustainable materials
- Drive vendor evaluation and selection - own the relationships, the numbers, and the performance
- Spearhead strategic sourcing projects that improve quality, cost, and time-to-market
- Manage spec sheets, packaging compliance, and documentation
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure optimal terms for the business
- Partner with internal and external partners to bring innovation to life - from airflow optimization to printing technologies
- Translate packaging into value, shelf life, cost per unit, visual appeal, and consumer experience
- Be the person who's walked the walk and now wants more influence, autonomy, and growth
- Drive packaging proejcts and be a constant driver of continuous improvement, you're an expert in the packaging world
Qualifications
- Experienced in procurement and packaging within food, beverage or CPG
- Adept with packaging materials, technologies, and spec management
- Confident negotiating complex, multi-party contracts
- Analytical and strategic, you know your numbers and use them to drive decisions
- Excited by innovation: airflow through plastics, compostables, printing tech, you get the "why" behind the materials
- Comfortable leading projects, vendors, and internal cross-functional teams
- Ready to step up, you've got strong technical chops and now want a bigger seat at the table - this position is a expert in their field, it does not manage a team
