One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, is seeking an experienced E&I Frontline Supervisor to join their team on a 1-year contract in Lloydminster, AB. This role is critical in supporting pre-mobilization, project execution, and post-execution activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Mobilization & Bid Support: Assist in pre-bid documentation, bid reviews, and project execution planning (design/model reviews, CWP development).
- Post-Award: Lead contractor document reviews (JSA, ERP, ITPs, execution plans) and ensure joint acceptance.
- Execution:
- Communicate site hazards to contractors and ensure safety compliance.
- Verify contractor documentation adherence and report variances/risks.
- Oversee high-risk work, scope changes, and contractor completion activities (walkdowns, demobilization).
- Post-Execution: Participate in contractor close-out meetings and lessons learned sessions.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce company Safety Management System (SMS) and PPE requirements.
- Conduct field hazard assessments and mentor team members.
- Quality Assurance: Review ITPs, turnover packages, and perform quality audits.
- Schedule & Cost Management:
- Monitor contractor schedules, progress, and recovery plans.
- Review contractor LEMs (hours, equipment) and daily reporting for accuracy.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with operations, maintenance, and regulatory teams to ensure alignment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician/Instrumentation OR Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Technology.
- Previous experience as an E&I Field Coordinator/Supervisor in oil & gas project execution.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, HV systems, VFDs, DCS, and control systems (Greenfield/Brownfield).
- PMP or project administration training (asset).
- Mechanical project execution experience is preferred.
