Your New Role

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing data pipelines and solutions using Microsoft Fabric. You will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Fabric components such as Data Pipelines, Lakehouse architecture, Spark processing, and OneLake, along with strong knowledge in Azure technologies and cloud architecture.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Relevant Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, DP-203 Azure Data Engineer Associate) preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric components (Data Pipelines, Notebooks, Lakehouse, OneLake).
  • Expertise in Apache Spark and SQL programming.
  • Deep understanding of Delta Lake architecture, big data storage, and processing frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud data services, specifically Azure services (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory).
  • Experience designing analytics and BI solutions integrated with Power BI.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient data engineering solutions.
  • Proven troubleshooting, optimization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capable of collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Services.
  • Proven experience in implementing and optimizing data lakehouse solutions using Delta Lake and Spark.

Preferred:

  • Experience integrating Microsoft Fabric solutions with Microsoft Purview for data governance.
  • Experience in data engineering roles within non-profit or public sector organizations.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
