A prestigious financial services client is looking for an experienced Network & Security Engineer on a permanent basis. This is a Hybrid/Montreal role.

This position is paying $128,000 CD

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and support network infrastructure across global offices and data centres.
• Handle multicast routing for market data across complex VRF and VLAN environments.
• Configure and support Aruba and Arista switches (Access, Distribution, and Low-Latency Core).
• Manage BGP peering, filtering, and performance optimisation for trading environments.
• Operate Palo Alto firewalls, GlobalProtect VPNs, and ZScaler (ZIA/ZPA) security solutions.
• Support VMware SD-WAN (VeloCloud) for remote and branch sites.
• Monitor latency, throughput, and link health across key network paths.
• Contribute to automation and network documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in multicast routing in high-throughput environments.
• Strong command of BGP, enterprise routing, and switching principles.
• Hands-on with Aruba and Arista switch platforms.
• Expertise in low-latency networks, ideally supporting trading or other real-time applications.
• Solid understanding of Palo Alto firewalls and GlobalProtect VPN.
• Working knowledge of ZScaler ZIA/ZPA.
• Experience with VMware SD-WAN (VeloCloud) or equivalent.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills across all layers of the OSI model.
