Business Development Representative - Software Solutions

Location: Laval (Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site)

Type: Full-time

Salary: -$ + 30% bonus

A well-established company in the electrical and industrial solutions space is hiring a Business Development Representative to help grow their software offering.

You'll focus on identifying, qualifying, and handing off high-value leads to the sales team. This role is ideal for someone with SaaS experience, strong outbound skills, and the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.

Responsibilities

  • Execute outbound campaigns (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to generate and qualify leads
  • Engage with decision-makers and influencers to understand business needs
  • Nurture prospects using automated workflows (Dynamics 365)
  • Conduct targeted account research and gather insights using internal tools
  • Document all interactions and progress in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective lead routing and follow-up
  • Contribute insights on trends, opportunities, and potential market expansion

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in software sales (SaaS preferred)
  • At least 1 year working with or selling Information Solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (preferably Dynamics 365)
  • Familiarity with automated marketing or lead nurturing tools
  • Bilingual French & English (spoken and written)

Bonus

  • Background in computer programming, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Post-secondary education in sales, marketing, or a business-related program
