Whitespace Studio is a fast-moving web development agency and the team behind BiteBuddy, a modern online ordering system built for independent restaurants. Our mission is to help restaurants thrive by making it effortless to offer online ordering - complete with setup, hardware, and support - all with zero upfront cost to them.

We're scaling fast and are looking for someone who can help us bring BiteBuddy into more restaurants across Metro Vancouver.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Contract Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying, pitching, and onboarding new restaurant clients to our BiteBuddy platform. This is a contractor position ideal for a self-starter who thrives on commission, has a natural ability to build relationships, and understands the hustle of local business sales. This is an initial 3-month contract position, with the potential to extend or transition into a long-term/full-time role based on performance.

This is a contract role with a $1,500/month base salary contingent on meeting onboarding performance, plus $400 commission per successfully onboarded restaurant. Full compensation details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and approach independent restaurants (cold outreach, inbound, walk-ins, referrals)
  • Present and demo the BiteBuddy system clearly and confidently
  • Sell the value of BiteBuddy - including free hardware, setup, and support
  • Collect key onboarding info such as menu details, branding assets, basic restaurant info
  • Communicate onboarding progress with internal team to ensure a smooth launch
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, leads, and sales status
  • Meet or exceed monthly onboarding targets
  • Attend weekly team syncs and report progress

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable selling to small business owners and decision-makers
  • Organized, proactive, and results-driven
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Tech-savvy enough to demo a web product and explain its value clearly
  • Familiarity with basic tools like Slack, Google Sheets, and Google Drive for communication and lead tracking
  • Experience in sales is required; experience in software, restaurant tech, or POS sales is a plus but not required

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of restaurant operations or hospitality industry
  • Experience working with small businesses or in a contractor capacity
  • Familiarity with online ordering platforms or POS systems
