Position Overview

We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to support our growing portfolio of office and healthcare projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has strong technical skills with a good design sense. You will be involved in all aspects of the design process-from concept development and space planning to detailed drawing production and construction coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Develop floor plans, presentation materials, and design concepts for office and medical spaces

Prepare detailed drawing sets including layout, demolition, RCP, millwork, finishes, and furniture plans

Assist in selecting and specifying finishes, fixtures, furniture, and equipment

Coordinate with internal project managers, clients, consultants, and contractors

Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes and accessibility standards (OBC/AODA)

Support construction and permit documentation processes

Participate in client presentations and site visits

Help maintain consistency in design standards and internal systems

Requirements

In-person attendance at the office

Diploma or degree in Interior Design

NCIDQ Certification is a strong asset

Minimum 3 years of experience in an interior design or architecture firm

Commercial interior design experience is preferred

Experience in medical design is an asset

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and graphic design tools

Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and AODA regulations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in all work

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative team environment

Pay: $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
