Annual OTE: $80,000+ / year

The Role:

As Business Development Specialist, you will create, manage and develop new business client opportunities.

Generate Leads:

-Develop a database of leads + prospective clients through cold-calling, segmented by industry sector and by foreign exchange turnover, as well as trade finance perspective.

-Take advantage of our Company's cutting edge, data-driven lead sourcing technology.

-Attend exhibitions and/or networking events where potential new business opportunities are pursued.

Create Our Value Proposition:

-Research the client and sector to identify possible client needs and solutions.

-Present our services to prospects and create solutions for their foreign exchange, hedging, payment and/or trade finance requirements.

-Set up meetings where you and a senior colleague will visit the client to close business.

-Increase your market knowledge and develop relationships with clients by keeping them up to date on currency.

Win business and create opportunities:

-Manage the relationship with our account management Team to speed up the conversion from sign-up to first trade.

About You:

Highly motivated, Results driven, Strategic thinker, Sense of urgency, Strong sense of initiative.

-Recent or New University Graduate (Business or Other)

-Interest in Financial Services and ideally some experience within a B2B Sales environment

-You are committed to developing a successful career within FinTech sales.

-High level of Business ethics and integrity.

-You seize opportunities to learn and progress.

-You are excited about Career growth.

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Toronto Candidates - Fluent English
  • Montreal Candidates - Candidates must be fluently Bilingual
  • Demonstrate commercial experience with a basic knowledge of finance/economics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including Presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and industry-specific analysis software.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Results driven, determined.
  • Motivated to work in a target-driven environment.
