Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Appliance Installer/Technician at Coal Harbour Mechanical Ltd. located in Surrey, BC. The Appliance Installer/Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various household and commercial appliances. Daily tasks include assessing installation sites, connecting appliances to gas, water, and electrical lines, testing appliances to ensure proper functioning, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The role also requires documentation of services performed and communication with customers to explain appliance use and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience with appliance installation and repair
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Relevant certifications, such as CFC/EPA, are a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed
