Position Overview

We have been awarded a new Contract starting July 2026 and need an Operations Manager to join us this August 2025!

Environmental 360 Solutions is looking for an Operations Manager to support our new Multi Residential and City Facilities Contract based in Ottawa! The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day activities within an organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and a focus on driving operational efficiency. The General Manager collaborates with various departments to ensure smooth business operations, improve processes, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish operational benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of operational staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in operational processes.
  • Implement and monitor streamlined processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Continuously assess and improve operational workflows.

Resource Management:

  • Optimize the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and technology.
  • Forecast and manage operational budgets effectively.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary resources to meet operational demands.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and enforce quality standards for products or services.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate with external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between upper management and operational teams.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implement contingency plans to address unexpected operational challenges.

Technology Integration:

  • Stay informed about technological advancements relevant to operations.
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Implement and monitor policies and procedures to maintain legal and ethical standards.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze operational data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on key operational metrics to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus) or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in operations management, general/branch manager or a related role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and technology tools.
