POSITION: Sales Engineer
REPORTS TO: VP of Global Sales
CLIENT BASE: B2B clients in access control, security tech, and infrastructure sectors across North America and internationally, integrators
SCOPE: Pre-sales technical lead supporting the global sales team; responsible for technical discovery, solution design, customer demos, POCs, field installation, and training. Acts as a key advisor for both internal and external stakeholders.
GEOGRAPHY: Based in Ontario, Canada (Kitchener/Waterloo area preferred) with global client coverage
TRAVEL: 30%-40%, including North America, Central & South America, and international markets
BASE: $120K-$150K + Commissions

ROLE SPECIFICS:
- Deliver pre-sales technical support and custom solutions to clients
- Lead proof-of-concept planning, deployment, and reporting
- Provide on-site product installation and customer demos
- Present at industry events, tradeshows, and partner trainings
- Contribute to RFPs, RFQs, and technical documentation
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and integration advice
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (engineering, product, sales)
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7 years of B2B technical sales experience in access control/security tech
- Hands-on expertise with electric/electromechanical locking hardware
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Strong presentation, installation, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to travel up to 30% across international regions
- CET accreditation and multilingualism (Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or French) are assets
- Degree preferred
- Access control API integration experience a plus
