Position: Technical Sales Rep
Location: Greater Barrie Area - 100% on-site
Our client, a growing organization in the building materials industry, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support its expanding North American customer base. This role blends technical consulting with strategic sales and marketing activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and supporting product applications from concept through implementation.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in material science, engineering, construction technology, or a related field
- Relevant industry experience in building construction or technical sales
- Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities independently
- Willingness and ability to travel as required across North America, US & Mexico
Responsibilities:
- Engage with prospects and customers through calls, site visits, and presentations
- Qualify new business leads and provide follow-up technical support
- Assist customers with product integration and formulation guidance
- Contribute to the preparation of technical sales materials and presentations
- Support marketing efforts, including trade show participation and promotional content development
- Collaborate with internal departments including sales, R&D, logistics, and manufacturing
- Maintain relationships with regional distributors and support their technical and commercial needs
- Participate in regular sales team meetings and strategy discussions
- Continuously pursue training and professional development opportunities
