Global Appetite is seeking a highly organized and analytical Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply planning process, ensuring the timely procurement, shipment, and delivery of products from overseas suppliers and third-party warehouses to major retail and distributor partners. Key functions within the role include demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to support business growth. The ideal candidate is responsible for developing and implementing a supply strategy that delivers the lowest total cost, reduces inventory, and maximizes customer satisfaction through world class service.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning & Procurement:

  • Create and manage purchase orders (POs) with overseas suppliers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with demand forecasts.
  • Monitor and track POs to ensure on-time shipment and delivery, proactively resolving any delays or issues.
  • Coordinate with international suppliers to maintain clear communication and ensure compliance with shipping schedules and documentation requirements.
  • Manage supply planning and inventory flow from third-party local warehouses to major retail partners.
  • Analyze and evaluate the supply plan and net dispatch requirements to satisfy customer needs, considering network complexity and supply constraints.
  • Manage and monitor U.S. delivery instructions and customs clearance processes, including ISF filing.

Demand Planning & Forecasting:

  • Gather historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to generate and maintain accurate demand forecasts (up to 18 months) for various product categories.
  • Collaborate with sales and finance team members through SAP and QuickBooks to translate and validate customer demands into actionable supply plans.
  • Analyze the impact of assortment changes, sales trends, new or discontinued items, and external factors such as overseas stakeholders' capacities.
  • Collaborate with customers to establish safety stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Actively follow-up on actual shipments and sell-out (POS) data to identify exceptional or unforecasted activities and drive corrective actions.

Cross Functional Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with category management, sales & marketing, and suppliers to gather relevant data and insights for demand planning.
  • Coordinate with category managers to investigate gaps between forecasts, planned commitments, and actuals.
  • Play a key role in the Monthly Business Planning (MBP) process, effectively communicating demand plan assumptions, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports to internal stakeholders, highlighting gaps, risks, and opportunities in the supply plan.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance demand and supply planning processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply planning, demand forecasting, or logistics coordination.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, as well as supply and demand planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Contract position with a possible extension to full-time
