With over 45 years of experience and continuous growth, our Expercom division is looking to fill the position of _Construction Labourer _for the GTA.

Position status: This is a full-time and unionized position with pension and benefits from LiUNA Local 183

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Working under the supervision of the field supervisor, he/she will assist the team with the installation of aerial telecommunications infrastructure

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will execute all work assigned safely

Will assist with general site preparation and cleanup

Handle and distribute construction materials, loading and unloading vehicles with supplies, equipment, remove all debris from work sites

Assist with traffic control

Will perform all other duties as required by operations manager or field supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of high school
Minimum 2 years of related experience in the construction industry
Previous experience with supporting aerial utility projects
Must have good oral communication skills and be able to work with others
Must be able to safely lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
Must be able to work in restricted and tight spaces and at heights
Must have a valid driver's license and provide a clean driving record (abstract) and pass a criminal check prior to employment commencing
Previous experience torpedoing (considered an asset)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position's work tasks. These include but not limited to: working outdoors and in confined spaces, movement of equipment and/or materials, frequent climbing of ladders, frequent lifting and pulling of telecommunication cable in excess of 15 lbs.
