Position Objective:

Reporting to the VP, Strategy and Commercial Development, and based out of our Head Office in Brantford, ON, the Market Intelligence Analyst will focus on gathering, analyzing, and leveraging market and competitive data to inform strategic decision-making and support business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market research, competitive analysis, and a keen ability to identify trends and insights that drive business innovation and competitive advantage. In addition, as a local team member, this role will support the sales team across all segments.

This is an onsite position.

As a team member, you can expect to:

  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research to understand market trends, customer needs, industry dynamics, and emerging opportunities. Provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions across the organization.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitors' activities, strategies, product offerings, and market positioning. Provide regular reports on competitor strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Data Collection & Synthesis: Collect data from a wide variety of sources including market reports, industry publications, competitor websites, surveys, and customer feedback to build a comprehensive picture of market conditions.
  • Reporting & Presentations: Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that clearly communicate insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Trend Identification: Track and identify key market trends and emerging technologies that could impact the business, ensuring the company stays ahead of industry shifts.
  • Forecasting & Market Sizing: Assist in forecasting market opportunities, segment growth, and estimating market size to support business planning and resource allocation.
  • Competitive Benchmarking: Develop and maintain competitive benchmarking frameworks to evaluate company performance against key competitors, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Customer Order Fulfillment: Responsible for the administration of the full sales order process from managing sales leads, quotations, customer setup, forecasting, PO acceptance and initiating internal fulfillment process and customer communications.
  • Sales & Marketing Support: Work closely with the Marketing Manager to manage sales collateral as well as provide support in tradeshows and conferences. Support sales team by managing the CRM ( ) and produce monthly reports and analysis for the team.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, or another related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or strategic analysis. Experience in identifying new market development preferred.
  • B2B experience in market intelligence is a required qualification.
  • Expertise in using market research tools and databases (e.g., Nielsen, Gartner, Statista, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
