This large-scale hospitality destination is seeking an exceptional Director of Revenue to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in hotel revenue management and have strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. The Director of Revenue will work closely with property leadership teams to develop and implement effective revenue management strategies, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market conditions. The successful candidate will lead a team within the organization and be responsible for balancing financial objectives across various lodging products to maximize total revenues and profits related to guest rooms. Key responsibilities include analyzing booking patterns, maintaining accurate reservation systems, communicating market insights, and supporting pricing strategies.

Description

  • Conduct thorough analyses of period-end data and other system information to identify trends, anticipate future needs, and recognize obstacles to achieving the revenue goals.
  • Generate insights on the transient segment each period while continuously evaluating booking patterns to optimize performance.
  • Support the account diagnostics process by validating findings and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate information within the reservation systems.
  • Regularly review distribution channels to ensure correct hotel positioning, information consistency, and competitive analysis.
  • Break down complex data sets to identify underlying principles and insights, presenting them clearly for decision-making.
  • Produce timely and precise reports and presentations that communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyze information from diverse sources to support comprehensive market analysis.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports, adhering to established deadlines.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly STAR reports to assess past strategies, pinpoint improvement areas, evaluate competitor strengths, and devise strategies to capture market share effectively.
  • Utilize STAR information to inform the development of RevPAR Index forecasts.
  • Collaborate in generating the yearly room revenue budget to align with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of recent experience in a Senior Revenue role.
  • An associate degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, or Hotel and Restaurant Management
  • Experience leading a team of hotel reservation associates
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in revenue management, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with hotel reservation systems, including I-Hotelier, Delphi (cloud-based), HMS, Intranet, and Travel Ads.
