Can-Tech services is looking for a Human Resources Assistant for one of our reputable Manufacturing clients in Woodbridge.

Job Title: HR Assistant

Job Type: Part-Time (with potential for Full-Time, Permanent)

Schedule: 32 hours/week (4 days), with flexibility to work 5 days as required

Compensation: $20/hour(with potential for Full-Time, Permanent)

Job Summary:

Currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support our client's Human Resources team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their HR career and gain experience in a supportive environment. Initially offered as a part-time position (32 hours/week over 4 days), the role requires flexibility to work a 5-day schedule when needed. There is also potential for the role to become permanent based on performance and organizational

needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment Support:

  • Post job openings and assist in sourcing candidates
  • Screen resumes and coordinate interviews
  • Help facilitate the onboarding process for new hires

Coordination with Temp Agencies:

  • Communicate staffing needs and follow up with temporary staffing partners
  • Track and manage temporary employee records and placements

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Team Supervisors to identify staffing requirements
  • Assist with interview scheduling and employee queries

Employee Support & Onboarding:

  • Conduct employee orientations and prepare onboarding packages
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records

HR Administration:

  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide general HR support
  • Manage documentation, filing, and data entry tasks

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a must
  • Experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems is an asset
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing plant is an asset but not required
