Salary Range: $119,756.17 to $207,026.91

(Commensurate with experience)

The City of Toronto's Legal Services Division is seeking lawyers to join its team who will provide advice and conduct prosecutions under the Provincial Offences Act. In this role, you will represent the City before various levels of court and administrative tribunals in matters relating to a diverse range of issues and offences.

The ideal candidates will have considerable relevant experience in the prosecution or defense of regulatory or criminal offences before the Ontario Court of Justice and/or the Superior Court of Justice. You must possess sound judgement and excellent written, oral advocacy and negotiation skills and be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. One of the positions requires the candidate to be able to prosecute in French. Computer literacy is required. Successful applicants may be eligible to join the OMERS pension plan as of their hire date and qualify for the City's comprehensive benefits plans.
