Position Overview
The Project Manager- Distribution Operations reports to the Vice-President Operations. The Project Manager is responsible for projects involving different departments worldwide, such as Distribution Centers, Logistics, Trade Compliance and Value Added. In addition, the Project Manager works as a business analyst to initiate, justify, review and recommend alternatives to meet company needs best. He / She can work with all areas and regions for ad hoc projects/tasks to support operational management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare business analysis of projects, prepare meeting minutes, reports and supporting documents for approval and implementation.
- Review and improve process flows, as well as optimize operations projects for regulatory and improvement needs.
- Create project plans, go out for bids, work with suppliers, develop the bid matrix to select the final bid, and make recommendations to the operational team for their approval and implementation.
- Assist rest of Operations team in resolving day to day issues and assist in ensuring operations run efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in science, Arts, Business or Engineering
- Project Management certification preferred
- 2 to 5 years or more of specific project experience
- And / or 2 to 5 years or more of specific distribution related experience
- And / or 2 to 5 years or more analyst related and operational experience
- Able to support internal customers and their needs regarding operations support
- Experience and working knowledge of systems and information technology aspects of business.
- Experience and working knowledge of corporate environments, and of strategic or business processes. Understanding of operations related to supply chain, distribution centers, logistics
- Communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, integrity, dependability and tenacity, and sense of urgency
- Capable of prioritizing issues, raising "flags" when necessary, and seeking advice and constructive solutions.
