We are seeking a Manager, Training Design & Delivery to support a high-impact program for our banking client. Reporting to the Director, Major Program Change Management, this role will lead the design, development, and delivery of training required to support the launch of a new technology tool and its associated business processes.
You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts from both technology and process teams to understand the learning needs of a diverse global audience. Your focus will be on creating engaging, multi-format training materials (e.g., structure, content, guides) that are aligned with the broader change management strategy. You'll also work in partnership with Global Learning & Development to ensure consistency with organizational standards and best practices.
A key part of the role includes facilitating training sessions, tracking participation, and reporting on training effectiveness and adoption metrics.
This is a 6-month contract, which has potential to extend beyond the initial contract term. This is a hybrid contract which requires the Training Manager to work 3 days per week onsite at our client's office in downtown Toronto.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver training materials to support a new technology implementation.
- Collaborate with SMEs to assess learner needs and develop tailored content.
- Align training strategy with overall change management plans and organizational standards.
- Facilitate virtual and live training sessions for large, global stakeholder groups.
- Create multimedia learning assets including videos, tool overviews, and "how-to" guides.
- Track and report on training engagement, adoption, and success metrics.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience designing and delivering training for new technology or complex process rollouts within a highly regulated, global enterprise (experience in Audit, Risk, Compliance, or IT transformation such as ERP or EITSM is preferred).
- Expertise in virtual training delivery and multimedia content creation for global audiences.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience presenting to large groups (e.g., live audiences of 150; total stakeholder group of 1,000).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for senior leaders and global teams.
- Undergraduate degree and/or post-graduate qualifications in adult learning, instructional design, education, communications, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with both technology and business teams (especially in functions such as Audit, Global Finance, Risk, and Compliance).
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience launching new technologies or managing change initiatives with minimal disruption and maximum user adoption.
- Background in building learning strategies for digital communities.
- Familiarity with leveraging social intranet platforms for training and communications.
- Passion for creating user-centered, persona-based learning experiences.
