MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our Automation & Logistics Solutions client to find a first-class Director of Sales to join their team in Canada. The primary responsibility of this role will be to lead the sales team, drive revenue growth, and develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
- Develop and implement a high-impact sales strategy to achieve business goals
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing B2B sales team
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy
- Continuously improve sales processes and practices to enhance efficiency
- Manage budgets and prioritize resources to maximize ROI
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and project teams
- Provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management
You should have the following in your background to apply:
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing high-performing sales teams
- 7-10 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the automation, robotics, supply chain or logistics industry
- The ability to lead teams that sell a complete end to end solution with a consultative sales approach
- An organized, energetic, fast paced mindset
- Experience working in a large matrix organization with structure & process
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and material handling systems is a plus
