GENERAL FUNCTION

Momentum is seeking an experienced and dynamic Agile Delivery Manager to drive the next evolution of our Agile transformation journey. Reporting into the Director of Enterprise PMO, the Agile Delivery Lead will provide leadership, strategic direction and coaching for our Scrum Masters and Agile delivery teams across the organization.

This role is accountable for embedding Agile practices at scale, maturing team delivery capabilities, and fostering a high-performance, client-centric culture within a financial institution environment. They ensure that the team stays true to the Scrum framework and collaborates seamlessly, enabling self-organization and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Agile coaching, scaled Agile frameworks, delivery leadership, and change management within highly regulated industries.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Lead, mentor, and support all Scrum Masters across Momentum, fostering a community of practice and enabling high-performing Agile delivery.
Drive Agile maturity by coaching delivery teams, Product Owners, stakeholders, and executives on Agile principles, mindsets, and frameworks.
Ensure consistent and effective application of Agile practices (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) tailored to team and business context, while promoting adherence to the organization's way of working.
Oversee the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of Agile ceremonies, retrospectives, planning sessions, and PI-related activities.
Empower teams to be self-organizing, cross-functional, and adaptable, while nurturing a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and psychological safety.
Provide oversight of delivery health through ownership of initiative scorecards, backlog progression, delivery timelines, and alignment with Product and Engineering.
Monitor Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, predictability, value delivered) using Azure DevOps or similar tools, and use data to inform decisions and forecasts.
Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of Sprint Review content, release reporting, and associated delivery metrics for leadership visibility.
Support effective backlog management by partnering with Product Owners to define and refine Product Goals and ensure prioritization aligns with business value.
Resolve systemic delivery impediments and escalate risks, dependencies, or scope issues in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Change Management partners.
Facilitate quarterly planning, cross-team coordination, and dependency management sessions to drive portfolio-level alignment and execution.
Design and deliver Agile training and workshops to build capability and support continuous learning across the organization.
Represent Agile delivery teams in enterprise forums to ensure governance, compliance, and audit standards are met.
Foster a culture of recognition through regular celebration of wins, team accomplishments, and Agile maturity milestones.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), ICAgile Certified Professional, or equivalent certification.
Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or equivalent scaling Agile framework certification is an asset.

EXPERIENCE

7+ years of experience in Agile delivery in software development organization
3+ years directly managing Scrum Masters or Agile teams.
Proven experience driving Agile transformations in complex, regulated industries (preferably Financial Services, Banking, or Insurance).
Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).

SKILLS

Exceptional leadership and coaching skills with a proven ability to mentor at all organizational levels.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority.
Solid understanding of risk management, compliance, and regulatory considerations in financial environments.
Data-driven mindset with experience in Agile metrics, KPIs, and reporting.
Expertise in facilitation, conflict resolution, and building a culture of trust and transparency.
DevOps, Release Management and Solution Architecture processes.
Comfort operating in a hybrid (Agile + traditional) environment during transformation phases.
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation.
The ability to thrive and remain calm under pressure
