SQL Data Warehouse Developer / BI Reports

MVP Talent Corp, a leading executive search agency, is working with one of our top clients in search of a SQL Data Warehouse Developer to remap data from Dynamics 365 into a new data lake (Microsoft OneLake). This involves mapping the current logic flow data model, cube development and re-writing SSRS and SSAS OLAP cubes. There are up to as many as 77 tables.

You'll also create new reports in PowerBi. Candidates should be able to work across the spectrum from writing BI reports, to rewriting the data warehouse and the SSIS, SSRS, SSAS OLAP cubes. This will also include things like table locking and stored procedures and documentation of the new data model.

Candidates will need to have strong knowledge of MS Dynamics, Onelake, and Powerbi.

This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of databases while providing insightful data analysis and reporting.

MUST HAVE Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in SQL Server database development, data warehousing concepts, OLAP data cubes, and SSRS, SSAS
  • 7+ years of work experience as a database analyst
  • Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 and its data integration capabilities
  • Knowledge of OWASP best practice
  • Proven experience with Power BI data for data visualization and reporting
  • Superior problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Proven interpersonal aptitude and multi-tasking ability

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of ad hoc reports built in Power BI
  • Develop and manage data warehouses and OLAP cubes to support complex data analysis and reporting needs
  • Obtain knowledge of and develop documentation for the entire data model of these applications
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust database systems using Microsoft One Lake and SQL databases
  • Support end users with .XLS & VB scripts to reporting warehouse & cubes
  • Ensure application changes follow incident management procedures and protocols
  • Report customer feedback and participate in new features design requirements to vendor
  • Conduct regular database performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve any issues
  • DevOps, CI/CD and other agile development concepts

This role starts as a contract assignment and has a very high likelihood of flipping into a permanent position if the contractor is interested. 6-12 months to start.
