SAP GEF Technical Architect

Contract Term: 2 weeks, renewable
Work Location: Calgary, AB

Our client, a global leading IT company, is seeking a highly experienced GEF Technical Architect who has successfully led and deployed multiple end-to-end GEF implementations in complex SAP environments.

This individual must possess deep expertise in both the technical and functional aspects of SAP GEF, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technical and functional SME for all GEF-related initiatives.
Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of SAP GEF across utilities industries.
Integrate GEF seamlessly with SAP ECC and associated engineering systems.
Define technical design documents, configuration guides, and deployment strategies.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align GEF capabilities with enterprise architecture standards.
Optimize GEF performance and ensure extensibility for future requirements.
Mentor client teams and provide thought leadership on best practices for GEF usage.

Required Experience:
10+ years of hands-on experience with SAP GEF.
Successful deployment of 3 or more full lifecycle GEF implementations.
Deep technical skills in ABAP, BOPF, FPM, and UI5 frameworks underpinning GEF.
Strong functional understanding of engineering change management,
product lifecycle integration, and asset-intensive industries.
Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and customize GEF components.
Experience with SAP EAM, PLM, or Utilities industry solutions is a strong plus.
