Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Leasing Paralegal

Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000 per annum

Position Overview:

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Leasing Paralegal to support its Commercial Real Estate team across Canada. This role is ideal for a paralegal with intermediate to senior-level experience who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is comfortable managing a wide range of leasing and real estate matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft various commercial leasing documents, including leases, offers to lease, letters of intent, amendments, extensions, renewals, assignments, subleases, expansions, surrenders, rent deferment agreements, area licenses, indemnity agreements, estoppels, parking agreements, and non-disturbance agreements.
• Oversee the creation of lease summaries for clients, as well as documents related to purchase, sale, and loan transactions involving leased properties.
• Monitor and track critical dates and project milestones.
• Conduct land title and due diligence searches and prepare comprehensive reports regarding leased real property.
• Communicate directly with clients, landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders to support leasing transactions.

Required Qualifications:

• Intermediate to senior-level experience in a Commercial Real Estate Leasing Paralegal role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with online forms and databases related to provincial land title offices, including Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.
• Understanding of land title registration requirements and e-filing procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, with superior organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
