Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with company goals and stakeholder needs, factoring in ethical sourcing, sustainability, and supplier diversity where relevant.
- Lead and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Build strong business cases to gain internal alignment on sourcing decisions, considering financial and operational impact.
Value Creation & Cost Management
- Identify savings opportunities and areas for added value by analyzing spend, market trends, and supplier capabilities.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize pricing, quality, and service delivery.
- Track and report cost savings, innovation initiatives, and performance improvements.
Supplier Management
- Maintain and grow supplier relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives and values such as trust and transparency.
- Lead supplier meetings, provide feedback, and help them better understand internal expectations and priorities.
- Support innovation by connecting supplier capabilities with business needs.
Risk & Compliance
- Draft and negotiate supplier contracts, working closely with legal and business partners to ensure terms meet company standards and mitigate risk.
- Identify and manage supplier-related risks including financial health, capacity, compliance, and delivery issues.
- Help ensure that sourcing activities align with corporate governance and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, finance, supply chain, engineering, or analytics.
Key Skills:
- Solid understanding of sourcing and procurement fundamentals (e.g., RFX, supplier negotiation, cost modeling).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and adjust to changing demands.
- Effective communicator with experience presenting strategies and outcomes to stakeholders.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to influence others and manage change.
- Proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, formulas), PowerPoint, and familiarity with tools like SAP Ariba, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
