Mountain Munchkin Daycare in Canmore, AB, is hiring an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Supervisor. We have two positions available.

Terms of Employment
Wage: $32.00 - 36.00/h - depending on experience
Position: Full-time, Permanent.
Vacation: 2 weeks
Work Hours: 40 hours per week 8-hour shift Monday to Friday

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ECE Supervisor with Level 3 certification to join our team. This role involves spending part of the time directly in the classroom (Ages 4-5) and part of the time supporting other rooms (1-3 years). The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about early childhood education and committed to fostering a positive and nurturing environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
Ensure compliance with educational standards and licensing requirements.
Monitor and evaluate classroom activities to enhance learning experiences.
Support teachers in developing lesson plans and teaching strategies.
Recruit, train, and evaluate early childhood educators and support staff.
Conduct regular staff meetings and provide professional development opportunities.
Offer mentorship and guidance to teachers in classroom management and child development.
Ensure staff adhere to safety, health, and educational policies.
Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children.
Implement and enforce health and safety regulations.
Monitor child behavior and development, addressing concerns as needed.
Collaborate with parents and guardians to support childrens learning and well-being.
Maintain records, including attendance, incident reports, and developmental progress.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for childcare facilities.
Manage budgets, resources, and inventory for classroom supplies.
Handle enrollment, scheduling, and parent communications.
Foster positive relationships with families and address concerns.
Organize parent-teacher meetings and workshops.
Engage with the local community to promote early childhood education programs.
Communicate program updates, policies, and child progress to parents.

Education and Experience

Must have completed a four-year college program in early childhood education or a Bachelors degree in child development.
Level 3 ECE certification.
At least three years of experience working with young children in a daycare or educational setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments and needs.
Criminal record check.
