Ideal candidate has excellent communications skills, is comfortable reaching out and and engaging users, guiding them to take actions on their files. Although the consultant will be working for a DataSecurity team, the skill set needed isn't very security centric. The candidate should have understanding of data classification and handling concepts. The candidate needs to be organized and focused on the assigned mission.
Business Overview:
The US/Americas Information Security department covers the following areas: Identity & Access Management (IAM), Application Security, Third Party Security, Data Security & Cyber Defence.
The Data Security team is looking to onboard a consultant for a 6-month mandate to assist with a few short-term deliverables.

Responsibilities:
- Creation and execution of a control to address issues around higher classified files in lower classified repositories
- Creation and execution of a control to address issues around untagged files in repositories
- Analysis of Data Discovery scan results
- Documenting and executing remediation plans
- File owner reach outs to users/teams to rectify identified issues with untagged and misplaced files in various repositories
- Effective tracking and reporting on progress of assigned deliverables
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of professional IT related work experience
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple work streams in parallel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Tools
- Understanding of data classification and data handling concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science or related field preferred
- Info Security experience
- Knowledge of scripting/automation would be beneficial
