Job Title: POS Technology & Infrastructure Lead
Location: Hybrid - 2 days/week in Markham, ON
Type: Full-time, Permanent
We're hiring a hands-on technical lead to help our client define, lead, and scale technology across multiple service locations, working at the intersection of POS, network infrastructure, and system administration. This is a strategic and implementation-heavy role focused on point-of-sale systems, infrastructure standards, and vendor coordination-critical to supporting both operations and digital initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the rollout and ongoing support of technologies (POS, network, kiosks, digital signage, etc.)
- Own L3 support for POS systems and define how 3rd-party vendors implement infra based on your frameworks
- Manage network and infrastructure strategy (incl. compliance, security standards, patching, and updates)
- Act as a key technical advisor across internal teams and departments (IT, Marketing, Operations, etc.)
- Collaborate on new openings and systems upgrades-ensuring on-time, high-quality execution
- Occasionally visit sites to oversee key deployments or vendor installs (will provide time in lieu for rare weekend work)
You Bring
- 6+ years in IT implementation/support, including 3+ in multi-location retail or restaurant environments
- POS system experience is essential (Aloha preferred)
- Strong technical depth in infrastructure, networking (e.g., VLANs), Windows system administration, and IT compliance (PCI-DSS)
- Ability to troubleshoot, lead, and influence across cross-functional teams
- Proven experience working with MSPs and vendors
- Familiarity with cloud/integration tools (middleware, microservices) is an asset
- A self-starter mindset with a strategic view on tech, not just support
