We are seeking several experienced avionics, instrumentation, component and gyro technicians to join our Calgary team, specializing the repair of aircraft instruments and components.

These highly specialized roles are perfect for someone who thrives in an independent work environment, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and has a deep understanding of aviation electronics, components, and instrumentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Pay Rate: $25.00-50.00/hr

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Work Location: In person

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 08:00-4:30pm
  • This position is based in Calgary Alberta, relocation assistance will be considered for the right candidate with the level of experience we are looking for.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, debugging and resolving avionic electrical, instrumentation and components
  • Use of special instruments for diagnostics
  • Ability to interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other resources
  • Utilize technical schematics to diagnose and repair components and systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to diagnose issues from complex systems and apply effective solutions.
  • Accurate completion of required paperwork in accordance with published procedures, manuals and documentation
  • Work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks, managing time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.

What You'll Need To Qualify:

  • Must be 18+ and legally able to work in Canada.
  • Proven experience in aircraft electronics component and electrical troubleshooting, preferably within aviation instrumentation, avionics or components
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Gyro: 1 year (preferred)
  • Aviation instrumentation, avionic or component bench: 5 year (preferred)
  • Strong technical proficiency and a solid understanding of electrical schematics
  • Ability to work independently and manage troubleshooting tasks without direct supervision
  • Comfortable working in a quiet, self-reliant role
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and follow drawings and work instructions for PCB assembly
  • Good Vision/Use of Tools: Strong vision for detail or proven experience using magnification tools (e.g., microscopes, magnifying glasses) for precise soldering
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills - in order to report product condition to ensure that it meet specifications
  • Reliable transportation (public transit is accessible to this site)
  • English (required)

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Position resides in Calgary, AB: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
