Location: Mississauga, ON

Shifts available: Morning, Afternoon, and Midnights (8 hours shift per day) Weekend shifts are available too.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, home care environments, and hospice care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provide medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Support clients in meal preparation and nutritional planning.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in clients' living spaces.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Assist with mobility and physical activities as needed.
  • Document and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors to appropriate personnel.
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in patient care, home care, or assisted living is preferred.
  • MUST be certified as a Personal Support Worker.
  • MUST have a Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), TB Test, and Covid-19 Vaccine record.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
