Role
We are seeking an Associate Director (Manager) to join our team on a full-time, in-office, basis. The core responsibilities of the successful candidate include:
- Support clients through the full deal cycle on buy-side and sell-side mandates;
- Support clients in the evaluation of transaction structures and valuation;
- Identify and communicate deal issues with the team and client;
- Analyze and assess quality of earnings, net debt, working capital, and capital expenditures;
- Leverage Excel skills in the preparation of databooks and financial models;
- Coordinate with clients' senior management teams, bankers, lawyers, and other advisers; and,
- Assist with the preparation of quality of earnings, red flag, and valuation reports.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience in assurance, corporate finance, valuations, or transaction services / financial due diligence;
- Experience with accounting standards such as ASPE, IFRS, and US GAAP;
- Completion of a CPA professional designation;
- Enrolled or interested in enrolling in the CBV program is considered an asset;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail;
- Strong Excel skills and ability to problem solve or think outside the box;
- Comfortable working with unstructured projects and timelines;
- Results-oriented with a sense of urgency;
- Quick learner and self-starter; and,
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Other Benefits
- Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 competitive base salary commensurate with experience;
- Variable compensation: Bonus based on firm and personal performance; and,
- Health, dental and RRSP matching benefits.
