Job description

Industrial Matrix is looking for an experienced, creative and results driven Sales and Marketing Manager for a full time position located in Toronto, ON. We're looking for a leader who can motivate and expire the sales team to exceed their quotas.

As the Head of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our dynamic sales team, driving enterprise-level engagement, and building scalable, predictable revenue streams. You will establish critical processes for lead generation, pipeline management, forecasting, and team development - all while contributing directly to our aggressive growth objectives.

This role requires deep expertise in software-as-a-service (SaaS) sales, experience scaling teams, strong financial acumen, and ideally, familiarity with the industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

You will become - above all else - an Industrial Matrix expert, working in a dynamic start-up environment

Develop business acumen through exposure to various stages of enterprise sales cycles with Fortune 500 companies

Manage your own Pipeline in the CRM

Give presentations to interested new parties.

Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Representatives focused on engaging Fortune 500 companies.

Understand specific product applications, recognize prospect pain points, and how Industrial Matrix can solve them

Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute sales strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

Process Development: Build and optimize lead generation processes, outreach strategies, and qualification frameworks.

Identify New Revenue Streams: Look to scale in-bound leads by executing new marketing strategies

Strategize Marketing initiatives: Plan and manage marketing strategies including, but not limited to, SEO, Social Media, Trade Shows, and printed materials.

Pipeline & CRM Management: Oversee pipeline development and management within CRM systems, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver accurate, data-driven sales forecasts and performance reports to leadership.

Pricing & Financial Management: Establish and manage pricing strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining competitiveness. Oversee deal structuring and ensure financial rigor in all sales activities.

Customer Engagement: Support sales representatives in developing high-impact engagements, presentations, and relationship-building activities with senior decision-makers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, product, and customer success teams to align initiatives and maximize revenue potential.

Scaling Operations: Implement best practices for scaling the sales organization efficiently and sustainably.

Financial Management: Manage sales budgets, analyze ROI, and contribute to strategic financial planning.

What You Bring:

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • General Experience and expertise of marketing
  • Experience working in an industrial sector is an asset
  • Proven track record of building, leading, and scaling successful B2B sales teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience creating and managing budgets and sales forecasts.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles, particularly with large, complex organizations (Fortune 500 preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Pipedrive, Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Thrive in fast paced environments
  • Fluency in French, or Spanish is considered an asset
