Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Architectural Technologist located in Ottawa, ON. The Architectural Technologist will be responsible for preparing and managing working drawings, and contract documents. You will work with members of the design team to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget, and aesthetic requirements of architectural projects. Applicants must be self-motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications + Duties

• A diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field
• Skills in Technical Drawing and Working Drawings
• Experience with architectural software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
• Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC) and City of Ottawa Zoning By-laws
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Well-rounded experience and proficiency in production and contract documents
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Evaluate site conditions and prepare Field Review Reports (FRR)
• Review shop drawings, products, service, and other submissions
