POSITION SCOPE:
The Coordinator - Production Planner is responsible for ensuring the coordination of production and material ensuring that all of the processes are followed and monitored closely to meet order deadline, accuracy, efficiency and quality targets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform all production related SAP tasks from the creation of Item Masters to releasing finished goods to warehouses
- Provide production team with accurate Production Orders, Work Instructions, drawings and product labels
- Maintain a precise Item Master database by accurately assigning all required attributes
- Organize and maintain project folders, documentation and drawings
- Work with Supervisor and Director from Merchandising to estimate material yields and labor times
- Work with Finance to estimate project/product costs
- Estimate and order raw materials required for production orders accurately and timely
- Coordinate inbound and outbound material transfers
- Accurately capture materials and labor consumed by Production Orders
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of raw materials and consumables through coordinating monthly physical counts and accurate material consumption
- Acts as a liaison between Merchandising, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, Finance, Inventory, Supply Chain, Operations and Transportation teams
- Build and maintain a good work relationship with internal/external suppliers and customer
- Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current production scopes and schedules
- Assist in the set-up of processes and procedures to streamline workflow, improve efficiency
- Create Standard Operating Procedure as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by Merchandising Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of experience in the production/manufacturing environment
- Post-secondary education in manufacturing, Civil or Industrial Engineering, supply chain, construction or any related field. Mathematical/Accounting/Engineering background is preferred
- Work experience with an ERP is desired; Experience with SAP Production Planning Module is preferred
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to work with ambiguity and meet deadlines in a changing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- All work is performed in a standard office environment with limited exposure to adverse conditions or health and safety risks
- Position requires moderate level of sustained visual attention and moderate manual dexterity on a regular basis.
- Work requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time with the ability to change posture and position.
