Role Description

This is a on-site UI/UX Designer position based in Vancouver, BC, with the possibility of freelance or contract arrangements. The UI/UX Designer will play a pivotal role in designing an intuitive, engaging, and seamless user experience for Vancouver Bitcoin's cryptocurrency platform and wallet WebApp. The role focuses on creating user-centric designs.

Responsibilities:

• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for both web and mobile platforms.
• Develop a cohesive design system to ensure consistency across the platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to align designs with the company's vision and user needs.
• Iterate designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and analytical insights to enhance the overall user experience (UX).
• Translate complex cryptocurrency concepts (e.g., transactions, self-custody) into simple, intuitive, and delightful interfaces.
• Produce visual designs that prioritize clarity, accessibility, and engagement.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably in fintech, consumer apps, or cryptocurrency platforms.
• Strong proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Demonstrated skills in user research, design thinking, visual design, and prototyping.
• A strong portfolio showcasing clean, user-focused designs, ideally with examples of fintech or crypto-related projects.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into intuitive interfaces, with a focus on user delight and accessibility.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bonus: Experience designing crypto wallets, gamified UI, or working in the cryptocurrency/fintech industry.
