Role Overview
Nanowave is seeking a strategic, hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead, evolve, and future-proof its HR function. Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, aligning HR strategy with business goals.
- Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.
- Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and succession strategies to support long-term growth.
Talent Strategy & Acquisition
- Develop proactive recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent aligned with Nanowave's technical excellence and cultural values.
- Build a forward-thinking employer brand that resonates across Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
- Champion DEI efforts to foster an inclusive and high-performing workforce.
Performance Management & Total Rewards
- Design and implement modern performance management frameworks focused on growth, accountability, and results.
- Evaluate and optimize compensation structures to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Monitor and enhance employee engagement, retention, and development across all levels of the organization.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Oversee employee relations with a balanced, people-centric approach to conflict resolution and policy enforcement.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation in Canada, the U.S., and ideally France.
- Maintain and modernize HR policies, procedures, and documentation in alignment with best practices and local laws.
Operational HR Execution
- Manage all core HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS oversight, and benefits administration.
- Coordinate with leadership to support rapid growth and operational scaling, particularly in new regions and emerging business units.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external HR partners, legal advisors, and consultants.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a senior HR leadership or manager role.
- Proven track record in a high-tech, manufacturing, or engineering-focused company.
- Strong experience in performance management, compensation strategy, talent acquisition, and organizational development.
- Confident, credible, and business-savvy - capable of influencing executives and guiding strategy.
- Practical and hands-on, with the ability to roll up their sleeves in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience supporting multi-site and international operations (Canada, U.S., Europe) is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of Canadian, U.S., and French labor law is preferred.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
