OntarioMD is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Conformance Services, to lead the delivery and management of conformance activities supporting provincial programs, including OntarioMD's Certification Program and the Health Report Manager (HRM) product. This critical role ensures that digital health products comply with specified standards and requirements, facilitating seamless integration, enhanced data quality, and interoperability within Ontario's digital healthcare ecosystem.
The Manager, Conformance Services will oversee a dynamic team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold the integrity of conformance processes while promoting the adoption of certified EMR systems and other conformant digital health solutions by healthcare providers.
Manager, Conformance Services will lead validation activities to certify a product and to recognize a product's alignment with other individual specifications, along with other responsibilities, including:
- Support and mentor team members to achieve corporate targets on new products and services.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team in integration and validation related activities.
- Schedule and plan validation activities with internal and external program partners.
- Execute validation processes.
- Accurately document validation results, observations and establish recommendations for relevant validation activities.
- Reporting updates with respect to the plan, risks, and timelines on validation.
- Support communication with vendors throughout the Validation process.
- Make recommendations for Certification as an outcome of validation.
- Support Vendor Certification Management to ensure a vendor and its OMD-certified EMR product(s) remain compliant to the expectations and obligations of EMR Certification.
- Facilitate testing with 3rd party vendors for integration with OMD products.
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the validation processes.
- Maintain and create controlled documentation and processes for the validation lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the team to identify improvements or address issues and/or risks on the validation process/artifacts.
- Understand and interpret requirements and success criteria to ensure consistency of validation evaluation.
- Support activities to inform the development of the specifications through learnings in the engagement with vendors seeking Certification.
- Support vendor compliance activities, for example, through validation and attestation reviews.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements that are important to us:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Health Administration, and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in Ontario digital health, with an emphasis on Community Care EMR products and vendors.
- Knowledge of Ontario EMR Specifications and OMD's Core Data Set Standard preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in systems integration (e.g., XML, JSON, testing, etc.).
- Experience with data health standards such as HL7 v2.X and FHIR.
- Experience in defining and evaluating products to a set of requirements would be an asset.
- Experience in solving complex problems with innovative ideas and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and with a dynamic team.
- Demonstrate the ability to initiate, plan, and execute key activities in a complex project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
