HAYS Manufacturing is currently hiring for a contract EHS Specialist for one of our clients. This role is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees, clients, and visitors. We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Analyst to join our team and help us maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Your new role

The Health and Safety Analyst will be responsible for analyzing workplace environments, identifying potential hazards, and implementing safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. This role involves conducting risk assessments, developing safety policies, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
• Analyze accident and incident reports to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training and education to employees on health and safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans.
• Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing leading health and safety initiatives.
• Knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and compliance requirements
• Starting their Certification with the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) (asset)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

What you will get in return?

The salary for this role will be 75,000 - 80,000, plus completion bonus.
