Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Site Superintendent to support the daily operations and on-site activities of our construction projects. The successful candidate will assist the Site Superintendent in coordinating trades, ensuring quality standards, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining the project schedule. What You'll Do:

• Assist the Site Superintendent in managing daily site operations to ensure project milestones are met.

• Supervise subcontractors, laborers, and suppliers to ensure work is performed to specifications, on time, and safely.

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Support the coordination of materials delivery and site logistics to avoid delays and ensure smooth workflow.

• Maintain site documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, incident reports, and inspection records.

• Assist in conducting site meetings, safety briefings, and toolbox talks.

• Help identify and resolve issues or delays that may impact the project timeline or quality.

• Collaborate with the project management team to update schedules, track changes, and communicate progress.

• Ensure that all workers and visitors comply with safety standards and site rules.

What We're Looking For:

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).

• 2+ years of experience in a construction environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or coordination role.

• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and building codes.

• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and procedures.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure.

• Proficiency with construction management software and MS Office Suite.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable).

• Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or equivalent (an asset).
